So you've decided to use Serb's World of Whitetails as the destination for your next hunting adventure. Now what to bring along for the hunt?
This page is here to make the thinking process all the easier for our clients. Below you can print off the a check sheet of the things that you WILL need to have along, and your more then welcomed to add as much to the list as you wish....we have plenty of room for your stuff.
WHITETAIL BOWHUNTING
BOW (Compounds, Recurves, Longbows, or a Crossbow at 65 years of age, or a Wisconsin Crossbow permit)
ARROWS ( No less then a dozen)
BROADHEADS AND FIELD POINTS (No less then 6 Broadheads)
BOW ACCESSORIES (release (2), finger tabs, case, quiver, etc)
A VALID WISCONSIN ARCHERY LICENSE (available over the counter , or on-line at http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/)
SAFETY HARNESS (A MUST, you will not be allowed to hunt without one)
CAMO CLOTHING (different types for different weather conditions...bring rain gear!!!)
PACK (backpack, and/or fanny pack.....a backpack is recommended for the rut time all day hunts for sure)
SCENT ELIMINATION ITEMS (soaps, sprays, etc)
BINO'S (A MUST, you will not be allowed to hunt without them)
RANGEFINDER (A MUST, you will not be allowed to hunt without one)
GPS (A MUST, you will not be allowed to hunt without one.....WE DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU!!!)
HUNTING BOOTS (2 pairs)
FLASHLIGHTS
THEMOCELL (with refills)
CALLS (rattling horns, grunt tubes, scents, etc......only for the rut dates)
CELL PHONE (you need this along for safety, early pick-ups, or to call in a deer shot for tracking)
REGULAR CLOTHING (for after the hunt, and there's plenty of room in the closets for storage)
SLIPPERS (we use them around the lodge...you'll need these...trust me)
PERSONAL GROOMING PRODUCTS (all the bathroom stuff)
MEDICAL SUPPLIES (if you get a sore stomach or catch a cold...have what you need along)
FISHING POLES (we have a 1000 acre lake in the back yard thats great for bass, pike, musky's, and panfish)
VALID WISCONSIN FISHING LICENSE (It's available over the counter or at http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/)
CAMERA (They're your memories, don't leave here without having some nice pictures of them)
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES (you can drink in moderation, but you need to bring the beverages with you)
COOLERS (for your meat)
A GREAT ATTITUDE!!! (WE'LL WORK HARD TO MAKE YOUR STAY A GREAT ONE. WE DEMAND YOU DO THE SAME)
We have mutiple excellent archery proshops in the area, as well as 2 Gander Mountain stores for any unforseen problems or needed items. There is also an onsite archery repair center at the lodge.
SPRING TURKEY
Aside from being able to bring a shotgun along, or getting different tags, all you don't need from the list above is the safety harness.
